Early Access for Wayfinder covers all content available during the game's early access on August 15th 2023. What is Wayfinder Early Access?
Early Access in gaming is a feature offered by developers for continually developing or live-service games such as Wayfinder. Similar to Demos and Beta Tests, Early Access periods are typically comprised of a game in its most playable state, but may not include all features just yet.
Wayfinder Early Access is an opportunity for players to play the game in its most recent builds leading up to the full release, join the community and help shape its future. Unlike the Closed Beta Tests, Early Access will not be time-limited, and will feature the game in the live state of its continued development.
When will Early Access be available?
Early Access for Wayfinder will be available on August 15th 2023. Developers Airship Syndicate have stated that it will include at least two Seasons, each of which are slated to run for approximately three months.
How do I join Early Access for Wayfinder?
While Wayfinder is set to release as a Free-to-Play title for all audiences near the end of the year, Early Access will be exclusive to purchasers of a Founders Pack. The Founders Pack Program will allow the developers to put together the final pieces of the game while rewarding their most dedicated supporters. Founders Packs will be available in multiple tiers, allowing for player choice in their support of the game. Each Founders Pack will not only grant Early Access, but will also include a variety of exclusive items such as Cosmetics, Pets, Mounts and more that will not be obtainable in any other way. Pricing and details are yet to be confirmed.
What Platforms will Early Access be available on?
Wayfinder Early Access will be available on PC and PlayStation (PS4, PS5) platforms only. It is currently unknown if Wayfinder will be available on additional platforms upon full release.
Will progress carry over to Full Release?
Yes. Players who join the Wayfinder Early Access will have all of their progress carry over into the Full Release later in the year. The developers do not plan to reset progression once Early Access begins, meaning for those joining in, it will truly be the start of your adventure in Evenor.
