What is Wayfinder?
TAKE BACK YOUR WORLD
Wayfinder is a brand new Free-to-Play Online Action-RPG developed by Airship Syndicate and game publisher Digital Extremes. In Wayfinder, the world of Evenor is shattered, you must harness the power of a Wayfinder to Control the Chaos that has overrun your world. Join forces with friends to strengthen your powers and control your adventures online with a vast selection of customization modifiers when exploring the immersive world, collecting valuable materials, and crafting! Explore dungeons, hunt beasts, and battle enemies with friends to gather crafting materials for weapons, housing, augments, and more that will be of utmost importance in strengthening your character and pushing back a hostile force called the Gloom.
In a world of magic and wonder, where arcanists are capable of bending reality to their will and robust warriors who are masters of steel, band together to save the destruction of Evenor from an ancient, deadly, and evil force. It is said that the Celestial Architects forged Evenor from primal elements, which imposed order on primordial chaos, but it wasn't the human race that first walked the new-formed world. It was the first children of the Architects that had immense power, ultimately used it against their creators, and challenged the Arcs for control of reality.
"Today, all that remains of these Precursors are the relics of that war: a vast fortress labyrinth; a sword one thousand feet long, half-buried in the petrified corpse of a forgotten colossus, and many other strange wonders scattered across the world. Humanity knows little of this conflict, save that the Architects were the victors. In the wake of this conflict, the Architects left the world in the hands of humanity, leaving one gift behind - the Beacons. These imposing towers are charged with elemental energy – a power that can be tapped by skilled Arcanists. Throughout human history, the greatest cities have been built around Beacons, from the industrial sprawl of the Avar Throne to the many-spired Citadel of the Seven Winds." — Silo

While there have been clashes between nations—endless skirmishes between the Avar Imperium and the Maze—the last century has been a time of prosperity. But scholars have always been intrigued by the unanswered questions and the lingering mysteries surrounding the Arcs and the Precursors. Three years ago, the Arcanist Omen founded the Seekers, a band of scholars and adventurers determined to uncover the secrets of the past." — Silo

Play Solo or Coop
Wayfinder features a variety of challenging dungeons for players to complete within Evenor, and they can run these dungeons on their own if they want to. But in Wayfinder, Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes strongly believe that teaming up with other Wayfinders or your friends makes the experience better and will make you stronger. Some quests can be played solo, but there will be important encounters and quests that will require teaming up with other Wayfinders to complete.
Collect and Craft your Gear
In Wayfinder, to become a mighty hero, you must explore the many locations in Evenor, encounter and defeat beasts, slay titans, and collect different resources and materials. These are the key factors to craft new weapons and gear to awaken the full potential of a Wayfinder.
Wayfinder features a variety of gear, from cosmetic items, armor pieces, armor sets, and a wide variety of weapons for all Wayfinders to use such as Rifles, Dual Daggers, Two-Handed Axes, Swords & Shields, and many more.
Wayfinders Control the Chaos
As Wayfinders in Wayfinder, you have control of the chaos. With the use of the Gloom Dagger, players can add modifications, mutate areas, and customize the dungeons of the game called "Lost Zones", and by successfully clearing it, you can be rewarded with glorious rewards. Lost Zones in Wayfinder are the different dungeons where you and your allies team up to complete quests, collect loot, and hunt bosses known as Titans.

Yes, Wayfinder is a free-to-play MMO. Wayfinder will be in Early Access in Spring 2023 on PC and PlayStation consoles and will be free-to-play on multiple platforms in Fall 2023.
What is "Control the Chaos"?
In Wayfinder, the world has been overtaken by the Gloom, and as a Wayfinder, you’re one of the few powerful enough to push it back. To cease the Gloom’s devastating spread, you’ll be entering areas called Lost Zones. Everything the Gloom touches results in shifting change and chaos
This chaos means that no two adventures into the Lost Zones are the same. As a Wayfinder, you can control this chaos using a Gloom Dagger -- allowing you to customize your expedition into the Gloom with mutators. These mutators can dictate the enemies you encounter, the crafting materials you might gather, and more. But beware, every time you attempt to control the chaos, the Gloom pushes back with its augmentations and modifications to enemy damage, environmental hazards, and more.
Is there Character Creation?
In Wayfinder, you play powerful characters that are born of the Gloom called Wayfinders. Each character is fully voice acted with a storied past with shared connections and relationships (good and bad) with other characters in the world. You’ll learn about our cast of Wayfinders both inside and outside of the game! You can also switch between characters at will, and all of your progress is saved. We encourage you to play multiple characters as you’ll unlock bonuses and mastery points account wide!
Is there Character Customization?
Yes! Although you’ll be controlling a Wayfinder, no two are alike. You can customize both the look of your character as well as how it plays. Choose which weapon to use, what mods to apply, what talents and skills to augment your powers and abilities with, and more.
How do you play Wayfinder?
The world of Evenor offers endless exploration opportunities for players to make each session a unique and exciting adventure. The foundation of our gameplay focuses on character advancement through hunting specific enemies and gathering specialized crafting components to make you and your friends stronger.
- Choose a Goal
- Explore the Overlands
- Clear Lost Zones
How Many Characters are there?
At first, Wayfinder featured 5 core playable heroes, and these are Wingrave, Silo, Niss, Senja, and Kryos, each having their own unique set of abilities and playstyle. Eventually, new and more Wayfinders will be added to the game during new seasons.
Is there Housing?
Yes, there is a housing feature in Wayfinder! Apartments will be something that is more than just a social space in Wayfinder. They’ll be important to our core play experience and act as a second “paper doll” of sorts where you can upgrade and augment your power.
How Many Weapons are there?
Currently, there are a few weapon classes or weapon categories that have been featured such as Sword and Shield, Dual Blades, Rifles, and Two-Handed Melee weapons, but more will be unveiled and the roster of weapon classes will expand as the game approaches its full launch. One thing to remember is that each character can equip any weapon they choose and each weapon has a unique ability meaning one dual blade can cause all their auto attacks to slow enemies for a duration, while another could give you a brand new dashing movement ability. These abilities allow for further customizing of how you play and build your Wayfinder.
Is there Cross Play and Cross Save?
Yes! Wayfinder will be completely Cross Play and Cross Save when it is out of Early Access and fully released, meaning you’ll be able to play anywhere you want and with all your friends regardless of what platform you are playing on!
Can I play Wayfinder Offline?
No, Wayfinder is an ever-changing world where social interactions are an integral part of the gameplay experience. You will need to be online to play.
Can I play Wayfinder Solo?
While Wayfinder is a social game at heart, it features a main story quest, side objectives, and other stories that can be experienced solo. However, a lot of the game’s more challenging content will require friends (old and new!) to help you overcome them.
What are the Supported Languages?
Wayfinder will support the following languages: English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Turkish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese.
