Accessories are a type of Equipment in Wayfinder. They are equipable, much like Weapons and Armor, and provide various Stats when worn, ranging from attack and crit buffs to increases in defense and maximum health. Most pieces of Accessories are part of a set, and having multiple of pieces of the same set equipped grants the players increasingly stronger set bonuses that further affect their Stats. Players can equip a maximum of 3 Accessories. The flexibility in Accessory choices allow players to properly optimize their builds to cater to their preferred playstyle. This page covers a full list of Accessories in Wayfinder and the mechanics pertaining to them.
Wayfinder Accessory Mechanics Overview
Accessory Properties in Wayfinder
Each Accessory in Wayfinder provides various Stat increases that can be previewed by hovering over them in the Loadout menu for your Wayfinder when selecting an Accessory.
When viewing your equipped Accessories in the Gear Stat menu, you can find each Accessory's main stats in front of an icon of a specific Affinity. Most Accessory Stats are aligned with the Instinct, Discipline and Focus Affinities. The Wayfinder's level in each Affinity will provide a bonus multiplier for each of it's aligned stats.
In addition, like all other pieces of Equipment, all Accessories equipped contribute to your Power Rating. How much each Accessory provides can be found at the bottom of the Accessory's icon. A Loadout's Power Rating is a numerical representation of how strong the build is.
Accessory Echo Sockets
Echoes can be slotted into Accessories in Wayfinder. These items provide various benefits to the player, including Stat boosts or Damage Shields. The number of Echo sockets on an Accessory depends on it's rarity. Uncommon Accessories have no Echo sockets while Epic Accessories can have up to 3 sockets.
Each Accessory has a maximum Echo Capacity noted above the Accessory when hovering over it on the Echoes menu. All Echoes equipped on the Accessory are measured against this capacity. Higher Ranked Echoes provide better benefits at the cost of higher capacity costs. You can find out more about the different Echo types, their effects and how to upgrade them on their individual page.
Wayfinder Accessory Rarity
Accessories in Wayfinder come with varying Rarities as denoted by the color of their background when selecting an Accessory.
- Green - Uncommon
- Blue - Rare
- Purple - Epic
While the implications of this have not fully been explored, it is predicted that Accessories of higher Rarities will generally provide better stat increases than those of lower Rarities, and that the Rarity of an Accessory will affect the number of stats increased by it's Set Bonuses. In addition, only Rare and Epic Accessories have Echo sockets.
Wayfinder Accessory Levels
Visible in the bottom left corner of an Accessory icon in the Loadout menu or next to the Accessory's name in the Gear Stat menu is it's Level. The level each Accessory is found at varies, but an Accessory's Level does not necessarily determine it's Power Rating (i.e. two Accessories at Level 4 could have differing Power Ratings despite having the same Rarity and being part of the same set).
Accessories have fixed levels and cannot be further levelled up. Your Wayfinder must be at the corresponding level to equip the Accessory. This section will be updated once more is discovered about Accessory Levels.
Accessory Set Bonuses
Most Accessories in Wayfinder are part of a specific Set. Equipping two or more Accessories of the same set will grant you Set Bonuses, providing further stat increases depending on the set. Having two pieces of a Set provides a 5% bonus to the corresponding stats included in the Set Bonus, and having three pieces provides a 10% boost.
As mentioned above, the Rarity of an Accessory generally determines how many stats will be increased by it's Set Bonus (i.e. Set Bonuses for Uncommon Accessories generally only affect 1 stat, while those of Epic Accessories affect 3).
Relic Crafting in Wayfinder
Relic-type Accessories in Wayfinder can be obtained through crafting. Players will first learn about crafting Relics through completing the Accessorize Quest given by the Engineer at Skylight.
In this menu, players can check the Relic's Stats, Power Rating, Set & Set Bonuses, as well as the materials required to craft the Relic. This section will be updated once more is discovered on Accessory Crafting.
